Why can't I use the 'Prefixes' & 'Exceptions' buttons? This feature is not available on ListCleaner Lite, however it is available on ListCleaner Pro.
What is the difference between prefixes and exceptions? Prefixes
are words that have two parts, while leaving the first part intact, capitalising
the first letter of the second half. john

How can I build my own list of prefixes and exceptions? This feature is not available on ListCleaner Lite, however it is available on ListCleaner Pro. Simply click either the 'prefixes' or 'exceptions' button, and add the values that you require. These values will be stored for when you use WinPure ListCleaner again.
Can I use wildcards on the filter, so I can just change to Proper Case specific values (eg. Change to Proper Case all the values that start with '1' ? Yes, WinPure ListCleaner Lite is equipped with very powerful and flexible filtering and wildcards. To change all Proper Case the values that start with '1', simple place '1*' in the filter box, then click 'Change Case'. *
Matches any number of characters. It can be used as the first or last
character in the character string. st* finds street, store, and staines.
When I click 'Special', there are more options on the filter, what are these for? These are all different types of filtering functions. Alpha, numeric and punctuation within values, can all be filtered by selecting the desired options.
Is it possible to change more than one field at the same time? No, you can only convert one column at a time.
Can I sort the values into alphabetical order? Yes, simply click the column name at the top of the list, and WinPure ListCleaner will automatically sort into ascending order. By clicking again, it will then sort into descending order. You can also sort the counts by doing the same procedure.
How do I filter each individual value on the list? Click on the value, then click right-mouse button, this will then filter the value on Data Table. |
